the first day of summer officially kicked off on Sunday, June 20th - Father’s Day. Saturday was a fun day, I spent time with family & friends celebrating Juneteenth!
My aunt has a barbecue every year for this special day, but now it’s officially a Holiday. It was a nice way to kick off the summer; family, food, and even some fireworks - as we are now just a couple weeks away from 4th of July. Honestly it felt great to be around great people and let loose. That was the 1st big gathering / party I had been to since last year. The pandemic really stopped life completely.
This summer I’m hoping to travel and spend lots of time with family. Enjoying the outdoors so I can perfect my tan 🤣 which is looking good so far, in my opinion. Now that the city is fully re-opened I’m excited to start getting into some activities. especially with my friends. It’s been so long since we‘ve all done fun activities. Like going to the movies - which I’m so ready to do again.
